LIVING THE ISLAND LIFE
Moorea, Tahiti’s sister island, is perhaps the best island for experiencing authentic French Polynesian culture, offering a deep sense of peace and tranquillity. It’s also a great island for exploring the more ancient side of Polynesia. Located in lush jungle, between mountains and the lagoon, guests have the opportunity to reconnect with nature and relax into the calm pace of Pacific island life.
The InterContinental Moorea Resort & Spa has a dedicated concierge service to help make your stay unforgettable. In addition to handling your specific requests, such as booking airline tickets and reservations for restaurants and tours, our concierge knows all the island’s hidden treasures, whether it is a boutique you are looking for or a deserted beach.
Our concierge service and the Clefs d'Or head concierge Yumi (firstname.lastname@example.org
) are at your service to help you organise the most memorable stay.

Your Perfect Day in Moorea
The beautiful island of Moorea was formed by a volcano about 2.5 million years ago – and it seems fitting that such mythic beauty be created by such a dynamic event. A perfect morning starts with a boat tour of the island during which you’ll cruise the amazing Opunohu Bay and Cook’s Bay. After seeing the island’s most tranquil spots, you’ll have the opportunity to cross the reef and surf on the Pacific Ocean’s waves where you might encounter wild dolphins, flying fish or even whales. You’ll then head to an islet on the reef where you can get up close with rays while snorkelling in warm, clear waters. Stay on the islet for a picnic lunch. Learn how to open a coconut so you can drink the water, extract the milk and use it to prepare the freshest, tastiest marinated salad you’ve ever eaten.
In the afternoon, jump on a 4x4 ATV and take a tour of Moorea’s volcanic crater. ATVs are powerful machines – safe, comfortable and great fun to ride – and the perfect way to navigate Moorea’s rugged terrain. The lush vegetation inside the crater contains a thick entanglement of tropical trees, flowers, red torches, wild ginger and more, with tropical birds of extraordinary colour flitting in between. You’ll make your way to different lookout points to take in sights of the reef, the bays and the sparkling blue ocean.
Before evening sets in, take the chance to relax and enjoy a romantic catamaran cruise. This luxurious craft will cruise outside the reef, giving you an unbeatable view of Moorea and Tahiti at sunset. Snack on French pastries and sip wine. Back at the resort, enjoy a special seafood buffet for dinner with a Polynesian show and fire dance.
